CDs/DVDs:
Nov. 2008: Aheb Masr (I Love Egypt). A CD
produced by Yasmina. AhebMasrGS . Quite good music
which can be purchased at Farida Dance (UK) or Dahlal
International (US).
April 2008: Journey of Desire - Yasmina of Cairo's
documentary of her life as a dancer in Cairo with a lot of
extras to help out any aspiring dancer to start out as a
performer in Cairo. This one was very interesting with
lots of great dance sequences. YasminaGS To find out more about

Nov. 2007: Farha Tour/Cairo Nights 2005 and
2006 - Kay Taylor (Faridadance) has these wonderful DVDs of the
Egyptian dance artists she sponsored for workshops/shows in
the UK. Good footage of Aida Nour, Dandash, Randa
Kamel, Yasmina of Cairo, Mohamed Khazafy and more. All
dancing to the music of Safaa Farid's band. Really worth
it to get these DVDs. Here is the review I wrote

June 2007 I had my first music review ever
published in Gilded Serpent. It was for a CD produced in
Cairo by/for Outi from Finland, who is currently dancing in

Feb. 2008: An Interview with
Dr. Mo Geddawi conducted during Ahlan Cairo Nights in August,
2007. This interview was so enlightening. My
conversations with Dr. Mo were fun and educational.
Obviously, he was used to being interviewed and had his
typical patter. But he was so generous at
answering the questions and had thoughtful
responses. I hope he does write that book(s) he is
